We have 20 stables in total that have been split into two yards, one being National Hunt and the second being Point to Point. All stables provide spacious and airy accommondation for our horses.
Wash down bay
Our wash down bay allows us to wash down our horses after exercise, after being on the equine water treadmill and can cool down their legs if required.
We are able to offer a 3 furlongs round gallop and a 6 furlongs straight gallop. Both gallops are Andrews Bowen all weather gallops that were made by blending multi-washed fine silica sand with synthetic fibres and a coating of wax to give a cushioned yet stable surface. Our round gallop is perfect for slow interval training, where as our straight gallop comprising of a loop at the bottom and a slight incline going up the straight, is great for doing faster work. Our straight gallop can also allow three horses to go upsides each other, which is another great way to push the horses to the correct level of fitness.
Our all weather outdoor arena is our newest addition to the yard and has already proved to be a great acquisition! Caroline has introduced using this facility as part of her training regime to ensure our horses remain supple and fit. It will also allow us to loose school our horses, in particular younger horses who are learning to jump.
Hurdles & Fences
Both our hurdles and fences are situated at the bottom of our straight gallop and are ideal for bringing on our youngsters, freshening up our older horses and prepping our horses before they race. Alternatively we have access to the Links in Newmarket, which has fantastic schooling facilities should we require them.
We have a 5 horse covered horse walker. This is ideal for stretching their legs, great for cooling down after exercise and general conditioning.
Equine water treadmill
The equine water treadmill was installed for the start of the 2016/2017 season and has certainly proved it's self to be a fantastic equipment to have on board! Aqua walk and trot can increase cardiovascular activity, can help with rehabilitation and is able to improve all over suppleness, stride length, muscle tone and strength for performance. This treadmill has proven to be invaluable and is used as a regular training method.
Acres of turnout paddocks
Here at Caroline Fryer Racing we believe giving horses as much turnout time as possible is an important key to our training regime. Not only does it allow horses to switch off from their daily routine and enjoy the freedom to have some fun, it also helps physically aiding with digestive and respiratory ailments.
All our turnout paddocks are post and rail fencing with fresh water supply.
